This great news follows immediately on the decision by the Ticino cantonal Parliament to contribute 5 million CHF to the construction of the new computer center. As the city of Lugano had already granted construction rights for the land, the financial basis for this project is now complete. Construction work begun in February 2010. One of the important corner stones for the successful implementation of the HPCN-Strategy is thus in place.
The rapid progress on the HPCN-Strategy has only been possible thanks to wide and strong support from funding institutions, local, cantonal and federal authorities and all members of the project team.
