This webinar introduced parallel I/O on the Piz Daint supercomputer and discussed best practices. After a general introduction to parallel I/O, the webinar focused on ADIOS2, a parallel I/O library that addresses shortcomings of commonly used I/O libraries for large scale computing. ADIOS2 is developed as part of the United States Department of Energy's Exascale Computing Project.
