CSNOW, an interest group within the Department of Computer Science at ETH Zurich (D-INFK), is dedicated to eliminating gender-based barriers and fostering an inclusive study and work environment. The network includes students, doctoral candidates, and postdoctoral researchers, and welcomes all genders to join in their mission.
The event started with a presentation by CSNOW, highlighting their objectives and ongoing activities aimed at promoting gender equality in computer science. Following this, CSCS offered an engaging overview of the Centre’s mission and its pivotal role in advancing computational research.
Next CSCS colleagues presented their diverse backgrounds and detailed their job profiles offering valuable insights into the varied career paths within the field.
Attendees were then treated to an exclusive guided tour of CSCS's state-of-the-art infrastructure and machine room, providing a glimpse into the workings of one of the world's leading supercomputing facilities.
The event was a success, fostering connections and inspiring participants to continue striving for a more inclusive future in computer science.
